Our Horses

Horses

I draw them, write stories about them, read about them, train them, dream about them.

This is Casar, an incredibly fast chestnut Arab despite his small size. He loved racing and was the smoothest ride imaginable.

Below is our new boy Otto. He's a Stockhorse and is pictured having some fun after being washed.

Then there are Annabella the Anglo Arab and her grown up foal Zabah. Like mother like daughter.

Lice - how to get rid of them

We were unfortunate enough to purchase a horse who had lice.
We oiled him all over with vegetable oil and left this on for two days, after which our little colt got a very thorough wash with baby shampoo. The lice are gone and he has no nits! We washed him again to get rid of the remaining oily spots after about 3 weeks and he looks splendid as ever - totally free of lice which would be easy to see against his pale cremello skin.
